A Statement on Black Lives Matter

Following the Black Lives Matter movement, which bought to light the failure of our industry to meaningfully diversify, NR1 Creatives have heard the voices of the Black community and recognise that we must do more to support those from the Global Majority in theatre. We acknowledge that as an agency we must take steps to ensure that we support, protect and nurture creative talent from a wider, more diverse background. We are actively taking steps to do this.

We are proud sponsors of the Vanstone Scholarship at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, which supports students from the Global Majority training on the BA Production Arts Program.

We aim to amplify the voices of individuals by prioritising representing those who are under represented. We will also ensure any charitable donations we make will go to non-profit organisations that champion the movement.

We stand with our industry peers against all forms of discrimination and hope the steps we are taking will provide support and encourage change.
