Press

AMADEUS (National Theatre)

Reviews for Chloe Lamford's design, labelled "ingenious" by Ann Treneman (The Times ★★★★) and compared to the "explosive  scene-setting" of Emma Rice by Johnny Fox (Londonist★★★★)

"Mile-wide panniers and spangly trainers - pop with colour and a gleefully anachronistic quality to some of the dance scenes"

(The Stage ★★★★)

Rules for Living (National Theatre)

★★★★ The Times

★★★★ The Guardian

...a comedy that might easily seem mechanistic is given a wealth of spontaneous life by Marianne Elliott's exuberant production and by Chloe Lamford's design, which shows a neat open-plan kitchen being virtually destroyed by its childlike occupants

God Bless The Child (Royal Court Jerwood Theatre)

Chloe Lamford's set sits us at the edges of a Year 4 classroom complete with wall displays, tiny coat hooks and hexagonal desks. Flags and cardboard raindrops hang from the strip-lit ceiling. It's perfect.

The Times

★★★★ Financial Times

1984 (Almeida Theatre London)

Special mention must go to Chloe Lamford's design, which at first looks drab and retro, yet explodes into an onslaught of fierce light and buzzing energy. It's the heart of a show that is sometimes grating but often stunning.

Evening Standard

The World of Extreme Happiness (National Theatre)

Chloe Lamford's design offers up neon rainbows and pink dolls who judder like puppets on a string.

The Guardian

...Chloe Lamford's simple but effective design of illuminated boxes of "Made in China" dolls begins to look more and more sinister.
